Target Beauty Box Review August 2017
It’s August and that means that summer is coming to a close, its time to buy school supplies and prep for another school year – Wahoo!! This summer was particularly rough as I didn’t put the girls into any camps and so they were my “helpers” as I got the house ready to put onto the market. So anyhoo, it’s beauty box review time – Yay!! And Target is the first to arrive at the door.
The cost of this box was $7 and it was paid for by yours truly. The opinions provided of this beauty box review are 100% my own.

Now on to the Target beauty box review…
First up is a product that I have been using since the 90’s, Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips. You’ll get one nose strip in a limited edition design. If you have never tried this product then get ready to have your mind blown. Seriously! Prepare to see an instant result with the use of these pore strips for your nose. Just make sure to wash your face, keeping your nose as wet as you can. Then dry your hands – you want the strip to stick to your nose, not your hands. After applying the strip to your nose, wait 10 minutes and the strip will dry like a cast on your face. It should be stiff and dry. Then carefully and slowly, remove the strip by peeling it off at the edges and working your way in. If you are anything like me, you will have a village of blackheads stuck onto the strip. It would be crazy-gross if it weren’t so super cool. This is definitely tried and true – gotta love Biore strips! I do!!
Next up is Dove Dry Spray Invisible Antiperspirant. I’m not sure how Target and I got so dialed in, but this is the antiperspirant that I use. How wacky is that? First my pore strips and now my antiperspirant? So, because I love Dove, I am calling this my favorite beauty box item for Target’s August offering. It’s full size, yo! No sample size here – loving that! I mean, this month’s box cost $7 for the 6 items received. My antiperspirant is typically $5-ish per bottle (not counting my coupons, and you know I would have a coupon). And in every beauty box, Target includes a $3 coupon on any beauty/personal item. I’m just saying, this month’s box is totally worth it.
Up next is Garnier’s SkinActive Clearly Brighter Argan Nut Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser. This is a citrus scented scrub and feels quite invigorating after using. I enjoy using anything that has a orangy-lemony scent and this is certainly that. It is also gentle enough to use twice a day according to Garnier, though I would try it on a once a day basis if you consider your skin to be sensitive.
Time for a hair product and it is Herbal Essences Repair Argan Oil Shampoo. I feel like in beauty box reviews past, Target has provided the conditioner when sending out shampoo. This is not the case with this month’s box and it would have been nice but hey, I got my antiperspirant so I’m not gonna gripe too much. Here we have another Argan product within this boxes offerings. Personally, I love the fragrance of Argan Oil and it is definitely evident in this shampoo. It washed beautifully and though it would have been nice to the counterpart, I still feel like this was a nice addition to this month’s beauty box.
Next is SpaLife Nourishing Facial Mask in orange. Again, another full size product in the box – nice! I mean, it is a one-time use only mask, but hey, this is how it is sold in stores, making it a full size offering. Now that that’s settled… Again with those Mike Myers/Buffalo Bill death masks? They are just so creepy. Sure, they are great for your skin and you feel pampered – assuming you can get 20 minutes of alone time – but still creepy. Am I right? I didn’t get to try this for myself. Perhaps once the children are back in school. Oooh, I’m gonna make that happen! Only a few weeks left. Hang in there, mommas!
Last but not least, Target’s brand up & up Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes. I know that I have been harping on this, but yes, another full size product! You’re crushing it, Target! I seem to got through makeup wipes like, well, makeup wipes I guess. And it’s not because of me. It’s my girls. They love playing makeup and I have to say, it is pretty fun. My sister came to visit a few weeks ago and we were all sitting around the kitchen table putting on makeup: My girls, my sis, my mom and me. Good times!
And that is it, kids! Did you get this Target box? Have anything to share regarding the products? Leave me a comment below and let me know. This box was the bomb-diggity! Remember, Target always includes a $3 coupon for the current month’s beauty/personal care purchase of $15 or more. Stack this coupon with your other target store coupons, manufacture product coupons, Cartwheel savings (if available for your purchase) and use your Target card for 5% off. I love me my Target!
Until next post, my lovelies!
